Chick-fil-A rated as politest chain

You went in there in your life-size Godzilla costume, didn’t you?

Well, if we are going to dissect a mans words in order to twist them into faux outrage over his personal opinion that means nothing in the scheme of things, let’s at least be accurate. After all, “words hurt” now, apparently.

I had never even heard of the place before all this nonsense. And when the protests started up, that’s when I decided to try the place. When I got there, there was exactly 1 protester, and a drive through line around the block. I am convinced to this day that the whole damn thing was nothing more than a guerilla marketing campaign to boost business, and it worked. I go there about once a month. Would be more often, but they are closed 50% of the time that I have available to drive to the city.

Every CFA I’ve ever been to has wonderful customer service. I’m not surprised by this a bit.

Everyone take the hijack about Chick-fil-a and their homophobic political leanings and related issues to GD or IMHO.

This thread is about the service at their restaurants and the survey in the OP.

Yes to both of them. Every time I visit In N Out, I feel like everyone’s been popping happy pills or something. It was quite disconcerting for me the first time I visited (in my late 20s) an In N Out and saw fast food workers who looked like they actually gave a shit and loved their job.

No, just Simon Tam from Firefly.

And I have to say, they make durn good chicken and waffle fries…

Thought of this thread during lunch because I went to Chick-fil-a for lunch in the mall and they had a worker going around the eating area looking for people who ordered from there and offered to take away trash and re-fill their drinks!

This is a busy-ass mall and it can be argued that either Chick-fil-a or Chipotle are the busiest places there. Yet they still have a guy walking around and offering that.

He was quite nice too.

I frequent Chick-Fil-A regularly now I’m going to go there more often to get the best chicken sandwiches on the planet.

Wait… how would you get a Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Chick-Fil-A?

I will say that Chick-Fil-A has far and away the best customer service in fast food. They really stress that and it shows.

Dammit. I read that as chicken-and-waffle fries and got all hungry again. As it is their chicken and their waffle fries are both very good.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I’ve been told that the reason they do this is because it goes on record as “transaction complete” as soon as you drive away from the window. This makes the workers look like their more efficient than they really are.

Not really. The reason is that one person sitting at the window holds up all the people behind, making each of those transactions almost equally long. By letting the car with the hold-up vacate the window, the subsequent transactions can be more timely.

As a former fast-food worker I can say this is exactly the reason.

If someone ordered some chicken nuggets or fries that need to be made, there’s no reason to let them sit in the line for 5 - 7 minutes and hold up the person behind them who only ordered a Coke.

Oh, most of the time yes. But I was referring to those times where there’s no real reason to do it, though. Such as when your food isn’t going to take any longer than the person behind (and yes, I have moved forward and left before the people behind me). Hell, I’ve been asked to drive forward a few times even though I’m still blocking everyone behind me.
