ChiDope 2004 -- You know you want to come.

Oh yeah! As always, please send me any/all dopefest photos so I can put them in the TMHP Dopefest galleries.

I have my pics up, but I want to add as many other people’s pics as possible too (even if you have them up elsewhere, I’d really like to put them up if you would let me)

BoyoJim I can’t view the pics. Help!!!

Never mind. It appears that I can view them after all.

I had a great time (as the photos obviously show).

Things I learned at Chidope 2004.

BUZZ!!! Your evil intentions with a pool cue can clearly be seen in the background of this picture.

Yup, a great time was had by all I think. The giant nametags were a hoot and I kept my TEAM SUCK tag (designed by the lovely and talented Eva Luna) as a souvenier. The only thing that was missing at Black Rock was a dance floor, but we clever Dopers managed to clear even that hurdle by shaking our thang wherever/whenever the mood hit us.

And I can’t let this thread sink without mentioning that JavaMaven has the coolest place to put her cigarettes when she’s wearing a stunning red dress.

:o

That resting place evolved because by that time I had so much to drink that if I put them down, I’d lose them.

JustPlainBryan and I got home about three hours ago (we were delayed because we had to fly around the nasty storms going on over Kansas). I’ll put up our pictures tomorrow.

They work fine in Opera, too. (Just gotta be logged in.)

We had a great time. I am sorry we weren’t able to attend more things, but Friday night at Gundy’s and Saturday night at Black Rock were wonderful and more than made up for it. It was great to meet new people and to see old friends again. Special thanks to Eva Luna, Zanshin, MissCreant, Jane D’oh!, Judith Prietht, and everyone else who helped host and organize, and especially Gundy and Krusty for being such a great hosts on Friday.

They really were fabulous hosts! Throwing a themed party and having it actually come off is no easy trick but they did it marvelously well. Also, how Gundy managed to be everywhere all at once all the time is a mystery I’ll never solve! It seemed like every time I turned around, she was there talking to a different guest. That takes talent!

Here are my pics. Most are from Sunday mini golfing.

I had a blast at Chi-dope! I was a little anxious at first, but that quickly melted away. Here is a link to the pictures that Jen and I took.

Good pictures, Bryan. jeevmon and I are number 42. Hope our fair city was good to you!

#36 is Random with UncleBeer.

And I had to drive through those nasty storms on the way home. Tornados just 25 miles south of I-70 between KC and Topeka. I would have waved at you from the ground but I was too busy watching idiots hydroplane on the turnpike.
