Hmm, is this turning into a NW burb Fest? I can’t commit to that so you could put me down as a maybe. I’m up for Sushi on Sunday for sure. If ya want to do it in the city, the VilePad (formerly known as NymPad) has room for several guests, we can walk to Lou Lou’s or several other places. THere’s place called Boobo and Doc’s which is very new and has almost no regular business as yet. Boli and I had a great time there as did NonDoper Jim and I. Food is not as good as LouLou’s, but having the place largely to ourselves might be a plus. The Bartender’s name is Magic and he’s a large bald white guy.
Anyway, just wanted to throw that in as an option because I like not having to travel. If we have it in the burbs, I’ll want to crash with someone, or else not show at all.
In the city is fine with me - burbs were just a thought since a number of us are out here. This is not going to be a late one for me anyway, since I have committments fairly early on Sunday.

Me? Make a decision? You’ve got to be kidding me. Besides, net access is a rare thing for me while I’m in the burbs, so I’m lucky to be able to check in every so often (ie, once a week), so I’m probably not the best person to make decisions.
Like I said, the suburbs are fine, or even preferable, for me, but I’m willing to follow the majority, or even a vocal minority.
Also, there’s the whole lack-of-net-access thing. Fortunately, I’ve developed a case of having a cell phone in the last week, so I -can- actually be contacted off the boards. Woo. I’ve got to run now, but I’ll try to get an email off to y’all with my # soon - or you could try to beg it from Nym in chat.
A visit from the Des Moines contingent looks more likely now. So, I would like to put in a big vote for Bobbo and Doc’s which is about 4 blocks south of LouLou’s on the opposite side of the road.
In the city works best for me, as I NEED to be home…wait… is this on Friday or Saturday? Either way, I have to be home on that same night, as I’m going to be in meetings most of the afternoon Sunday, as I’m marketing chair for one of the campus groups, and I need to come up with some ad designs before then.
What I’m saying is that the place with Magic the Bald White Bartender works for me. I just may need a ride either home, or to Michigan Ave. so I can catch the school shuttle home.
