Bobbo’s is just south of the intersection of Armitage and Damen on the west side of the street.

OK, I looked at a map… Bobbo’s is on McLean? 'Cause that’s four blocks south of LouLou’s…
Hey…I do, but you keep telling me that you’re too old for me. And you’re not, dammit. 
OK, so it’s 5 blocks. I didn’t expect you guys to need that much precision. Just park in the vicinity and walk around. Parking isn’t as bad as some areas, but it’s not great either, so you’re prolly going to have to walk a block or three anyway. McLean frequently has parking if you go far enough down and then you’ll be close to my place for the after bar festivities and won’t need to re-park.
Well, the Carless College Kid needs to know where to get off the Damen bus, which requires a bit of precision, especially since it’s gonna be dark.
So, Damen and Armitage. Gotcha.
That area has a lot of foot traffic and street lights. Even cute little Tigs should be OK walking from the bus. I or one of the other manly men, will be happy to walk the ladies to and from cars. Just pull up in the no parking area in front of Bobbo’s (“no parking here to corner”),dart in and grab one of us, and we’ll see that you are safe from strangers.
I offer this not because I’m actually worried about people walking around in that neighborhood, but instead because I know the big city can be scarey to you suburban types and I don’t want anyone to stay home because they’re worried about walking around at night.
Nymysys has walked around that neighborhood a lot. Boli and I trooped around there partying a couple weeks ago. Magdelene has done a little walking in the neighborhood. We all lived to tell the tale. Not that you shouldn’t always be careful.

Look for the loudest, most obnoxious group. For big ones (like the Drunken Debauchery last August) I’ve made up signs. For smaller ones like this, we usually just sort of wing it. If we see someone looking lost, we can try and flag you down.
Oh sure!!! Answer jellen92 when he asks how you recognize dopers, but leave poor old Mayor Quimby out in the cold. I even had to ask twice where the place was.

I couldn’t have partaken in any alcoholic beverages this time around anyway because of the current medication I’m on, and I figure that is almost a pre-requisite of attending.
