Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (Mods)

From: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/coppa.htm

“The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act becomes effective April 21, 2000. The
regulations apply to the online collection of personal information from children under 13. They
spell out what a Web site operator must include in a privacy policy, when and how to seek
verifiable consent from a parent and what responsibilities an operator has to protect children’s
privacy and safety online.”

Swell. One more law for us webmasters to have to obey. But I don’t see anything on this board about this. What’s up with that?
