It’s not a “Left Coast” thing, it’s an L.A. thing. I’ve lived in San Diego since I was 11, eaten a few chili burgers in my time and never heard of the term till tonight.
Regional phrasing is funny. When I moved to Cincinnati I found out what they called a three way and what a corn hole was. It’s not what I thought they were talking about, that’s for sure.
OK, I have to know–what do those terms refer to, if not a sexual threesome and an anus, respectively? Were those what you thought they were, or do they mean something else up there?
I don’t know about “corn hole,” but “three way” would refer to spaghetti topped with Cincinnati-style chili and cheese. There are also “two-way” (spaghetti and chili), “four-way” (spaghetti, chili, cheese and kidney beans), and “five-way” (same plus onions) variations. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cincinnati_chili.
The “cornhole” refers to a beanbag game, throwing them through a board with a hole cut in it. It’s called “cornholio” in Ohio. You can Google for a description.
“Google”? No – but I’d love to learn about it. Where can I look that up?
You bumped a nearly 5-week-old thread about chili to make a joke about Google?
