Anyone know where I can purchase a dvd/video of Orson Welles’ CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT? I know it’s currently unavailable in the U.S., but someone here must be able to make a third generation copy for me, for a price of course. It wouldn’t even be cheating the Welles estate out of anything, since I’ll buy it on dvd when it’s officially released. Anyone? Please? Several of my friends and I are aching to see it.
It’s available on VHS from LearMedia in Canada. They say they specialize in videos that are not available in North America, and that “Each video will play perfectly on North American vcrs. Guaranteed. Many of these titles are professional conversions from PAL to NTSC format.”
