Chinese food delivery man disappeared Friday, found today in stuck elevator

1010 WINS news story

At least he wasn’t found in the eggrolls.

Uh…I think the information in your own article makes it VERY clear how long he was in the elevator.

Check my thread; I awarded the Bad Writing Prize to 1010 WINS.

The tragic part is, someone’s still waiting for their Chinese food!

Nah, it said he had made the deliveries.

Anyway, what about the guy trapped for the weekend in Rockefeller Center a few years ago? He may have been stuck in there with MUZAK!! Can you picture hearing Barry Manilow ALL WEEKEND???

You know, it would’ve been more fitting for him to get stuck down in Penn Plaza… next to MSG…

How’s the poor guy doing?

At least he didn’t starve…

:dubious:

:o

Not to pick on the victim, but I was under the impression that all elevators were required to have doors that open manually when power failed. The ones in buildings I’ve lived in certainly did.

What did the fortune cookie say? “You will find solitude in a place of your own?”

He tried to climb out of the hatch on the top but the harder he tried to pull himself through, the tighter it squeezed.

Poor guy!

“In bed!”
< snerk!>

Thanks, Shag - I just choked on my iced tea.

The sorution: Provide feeding tubes that can be accessed thru the elevator hatch in case of emergencies.

Typo of the Year!

Those towers are the biggest things on the skyline of the northern Bronx. I went to school a couple of blocks from them and they’re OK, pretty middle-class, nice people, although whenever you get a lot of people together like that you’ll have bad apples. The weirdest thing about them is that when they were built when I was little in 1972, they were a nice golden color. Then in the they were fireproofed and the chemicals turned them a horrible gray which they remain to this day. They’re kind of interesting architecturally, with large curving parking ramps, but I can believe some poor schmuck would get stuck in the elevators.

My school with the Towers in the background. Closer up.
