Does anyone know of any good Chinese-language science fiction media (movies, television shows, authors, comic books, etc.)? Does Isaac Asimov have a Chinese counterpart? For that matter, do the Chinese do table-top gaming? I mean, I figure there are Japanese companies that provide such things, but what about here in the Middle Kingdom? That said, are there any Mandarin-based/-created comic books, out here?
I read wuxia stories almost exclusively, so my only suggestion is 寻秦记, by 黄易. Military man, in a controlled military experiment, travels back in time to the Qin Dynasty. Reads a bit like Timeline, if you discount all the ‘encounters’ he has with the scores and scores of women he happens to meet. Some of is pretty crass, but otherwise it’s a good long read.
