Actually I was thinking about this and a laser-sight might be useful to spook the knight and/or his horse if you used it to dazzle him unexpectadly. Should certainly help in putting him off and give you more time to aim anyway.

Both, Jesse Ventura and Bill Duke carried it solo. What am I missing? It’s ~60 lbs weapon and ammo combined.
A few hundred pounds of batteries and 300 lbs of recoil energy.
3000 rounds of 7.62 NATO weighs about 159 lbs (not counting the links).
The gun itself is 85 lbs.
