I think one of the neatest things about his tricks is that his center of gravity stays pretty good. I would guess that he has at least two things contacting him at all times. Even if he had something to stand on or a wire picking him up by his waist…

I won’t say how he does any of his levitations, but I will say that for the ones where he is standing and then suddenly rises off the ground, he has 3 different methods for achieving the same effect. The method is determined by his audience (TV audience or live) and his surroundings (Wall behind him or out in the open).
The levitation he performs that is most convincing is called “Icarus Effect”.
