Christmas Music with a Twist

Christmas Card From a Hooker in Minneapolis

Gaudete by Potentia Animi

Ave Maria by Potentia Animi

“Ave Maria” by Nina Hagen! (not all that weird, believe it or not. Ok, it gets weirder, but not as much as you would expect coming from Nina)

“Blue Christmas” by Danielle Dax (makes you want to get up and dance)

“Angels We Have Heard On High” by Hugo Largo (high indeed)
“Deck The Halls” by Holly Cole (lots of fun)

“Wassail Song” from a radio broadcast, featuring Holly Cole, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Victoria Williams, Rebecca Jenkins and Jane Siberry, with Tim Ray on piano. (the funniest things about this are the introduction, Mary’s part and Victoria’s part)
Speaking of Mary, a block of Mary Margaret O’Hara Christmas weirdness:
“Never No” (an original, very weird, song)
“Blue Christmas” (her slow country blues/weird/wonderful version. Love that wacked instrumental)
“White Christmas” (a slow jazzy version)
“Santa, Old Man, You’re Mine” (live performance, deeply weird, but jazzy and fun)“This Is What I Want” (live performance)
“What Is This Fragrance” (not too terribly weird, but it’s MMO’H)
“Christmas Iz” by Jeff Farquharson (with MMO’H in the background. I like the lyrics, “Christmas is a happy time, for some it’s a crappy time”)

Bumping for a new season’s worth of hilarity.

It just ain’t Christmas without this classic

I can’t wait to listen to all these!

Don’t forget the extremely enthusiastic Drummer Boy

I guarantee it is the only “carol” you will hear this year featuring Busta Rhymes.

Beat me to it, though i’m surprised it took that long to get mentioned

I actually like the TS stuff, lol. People at work are going to HAAAAATE MEEEEE after this thread.

Thankees

That one, too.

The Annoying Drummer Boy

Jumping the gun on another Christmas season, even if some of the links don’t work any longer.

Should we start a fresh thread on this theme?
