Christmas Shopping

Ugh. Not even Thanksgiving, and I’m freaked out already. Have my whole immediate family (including two brothers in law) to shop for, and no idea what to get for any of them. I already have gifts for my friends, but I’m worried about what all I’m going to get the family…

Times like this, I wonder why I couldn’t just have been an only child!

I can’t post much about Christmas shopping, my fiance and a couple of friends lurk here a lot. I’ve already done most of it. I want to get a frankinscense burner for someone. Where do I get them?

I should also buy stocking stuff. Just remembered. My best friend will be Christmassing with my family, and I should get her stocking stuff.

How about a $5 silver coin? The Canadian ones are pretty, and they go easily into a stocking.

I think I’m about 2/3rds of the way finished - I work a lot in December, so I don’t have a huge amount of time to shop before the big day.

I still need to get my Bro his wife a new fawcet. They want the kind with the sprayer hose actually attached to the fawcet - does anyone have any suggestions for good ones?

Quick, somebody suggest a nice small gift for an elderly lady who doesn’t need anything and lives in Northern Europe. Preferably nicely American.

I was feeling really pleased with myself for finishing my overseas shopping for about five minutes, until I remembered her.

Mom and Dad: Gift pack from Just Tomatoes, etc.
Grandparents: Same
Brother: Subscription to Runner’s World
Sister-in-Law: Not sure
Niece #1: Personalized book
Niece #2: Personalized book
El Hubbo: Don’t know

It’s the day after Thanksgiving, and I haven’t finished my shopping! Man, I’ve been slacking! Still, it’s a good thing I’ve procrastinated. I saw a commercial for something (I can’t post what it is, since my sister is a Doper) that would make a good gift.

But first… Off to the cinema!

I’ve still got to buy throw pillows for my Mom. The real problem with shopping early is that I keep seeing all these great things to buy for people I’ve already got stuff for. That sentence strikes me as a grammatical train wreck. Bother.

Right. Now I’ve only my best fiend and my nephew left to buy for.

I can proudly announce that I have all my Christmas shopping done. Well except for a tiny thing or two that I might get dad since so far I’ve only got him a wet/dry vac and he’s jealous because I’ve got mom three gifts and he only has one thus far.

All my friends are shopped for. I got my sister’s Christmas and birthday taken care of (a whole five days apart, what great planning on my parents’ part), Punha insists that I not get him anything at all so nothing to worry about there.

Such a relief to not have to worry about going out on Christmas Eve for last minute gifts! All I have to do is wait for the gifts I ordered to come in and wrap them and I’m set.

This whole ‘not waiting until the last minute to buy gifts’ is a lot less stressful. I may try this again next year.

I have all of my shopping done as well, except for one tiny thing I have to find for the SO to give when I see him in January. I can’t tell you what it is because he looks up all my posts when-ever he gets bored and reads everything I write.
