Chrome extension for blocking websites that requires you to disable your adblocker

Essentially the topic is self explanatory.

Ideally I would like to have a search engine / news aggregator that excludes websites with the subject feature, but I think that’s not possible. So would it be possible to have a plugin that saves me time by just blocking such websites and not waste my time ?

Bonus : would like the app to block websites or news organizations that require you to register or pay a subscription.

IIRC uBlock Origin can block the notice asking you to disable your ad blocker. I use it and rarely see that message but sometimes I still see them.

I do not know that it will block an ask to subscribe. I still see those with some regularity.

Note that this does not block whole websites. It just tries to stop those popups.

These things are a constant battle between the ad block company and those seeking to circumvent them. There will always be some that find a new way to get past the ad blocker before the ad block company can close that loop hole.

That said, I find it helps a lot. YMMV

Thanks - yes it does. My ublock was removed from my chrome, between changing machines. Thanks for the reminder.

I use the Brave browser which has built in ad-blocker, and i never
see these notices.

It should be noted that Brave is built on Chromium which is Google’s product. Google has said they will be limiting the effectiveness of ad blocking software. That is likely to affect all Chromium based browsers (which is most of them).

As a result, most people I have talked to about this are switching to Firefox which is one of the few non-Chromium browsers out there (and a very good browser in its own right).
