All the news stories keep mentioning that ‘most’ or ‘the bulk’ of Chrysler is being turned over to Fiat. But what part of Chrysler isn’t being turned over? The only mention I’ve seen is that lawsuits involving vehicles sold before the change in ownership will have to be filed against the remnant company and not the Fiat controlled Chrysler company (so there can’t be much left to sue). Also… who owns that remnant? Would that be an independent company or a division of Cerberus or some other company?
For one thing, they won’t be getting a hefty load of Chrysler’s debt.
