Chupa Chups - I'm happily addicted

I’m not much for candy and can easily pass up most desserts. But I’m in love with Chupa Chups lollipops. I’m an adult male. Yeah.

Stayed at a hotel that kept them out on the check-in desk. I idly picked one up on the way to my room and found it was a strawberry-creamsicle piece of heaven. I started making up reasons to pass by the front desk and began swiping as many as I could.

When I ran out a few days after returning home I found a candy shop that sells them and I promptly cleaned them out of all their strawberry-creamsicles with a few other flavors for good measure. Looking into buying them in bulk, but so far I’ve found them illusive in the flavors I want.

Not only are they delicious, they actually have a wonderful aroma. And when they have shrunk down they can be cleanly bitten in half off the stick. Where have these been all my life?

And to make them extra cool, the logo was originally designed by Salvador Dali!

wow you can have ours around here… unless your under 9 years old or over 50 Hispanic there considered dollar store blo pop knockoffs (I don’t know if they still sell the gum version) to the point that if the kids see them for Halloween the’ll say no thanks …although I do wish id of bought the infamous 3 pound version at 6 flags magic mountain … that thing was so huge and heavy it was a weapon …

Amazon has them in bulk. I still have a couple of the BtVS pails (empty) from back in the day.

When I was a kid Chupa Chups came with a propeller so that you could make the plastic “stick” into one of these after you finished it. It is really too bad that they don’t still. (Probably a combination of cheapness and youllputyoureyeoutkidness.)

(While googling for images of the old propellers, I found that there is still a type of sucker that comes with a propeller–a generic product from China.)

BTW, if the “strawberry creamsicle” are from the “cremosa” line, they seem easy to find on-line.

Those are several flavors in a bag (there are several kinds of “creamsicle” combos). I’m only obsessing over one in particular. Such is the life of an addict.

One of those packs contains only two flavors–the strawberry and the chocolate. You could buy those, pass the chocolate along to someone else. A bit of wastage, but not like it had 4 or 5 flavors or something.
