You’ll want the cigars to be as naked as possible. If they’ve been left out for years, it will take a long time to rehydrate them, and you need to do it slowly. Go too fast, and the cigars can “explode” and be ruined. As Greathouse suggests, start with a 62% boveda. If they’ll fit, a ziplock bag works well. And it’s OK if the boveda touches the cigars - it won’t hurt them. Leave them alone for a month. Then take out the 62% and step up to a 67% boveda - different “strength” bovedas will fight each other. Again, leave it alone for a month. They should be smokable by now. Probably not optimal, but at least they should’t blaze away like something from a cartoon.
To be honest, with what bovedas cost, it’s probably not worth trying to rescue one or two cigars.
