Someone forms an addiction to a prescription medicine. Does bad things to support this habit. Since she’s a public figue, it makes news. She makes all appropriate mea culpas, apparently stays clean for the next 14 years. Wildly left wing web site writes SHOCKING story about the great SCANDAL (which any normal, news-reading person knew about for, oh…14 years??).

Blame her, curse her, pity her. Whichever it is, this is one lady I don’t want as our First Lady. I normally try not to take spouses into account when voting, but this is one time that I can’t help but feel she’s a definite liability come election day.

I have no plans to vote for McCain, but I think this is beyond stupid. Who cares about the past of the spouse of the president? Or friends, or siblings, or minsters, or whomever? Many people have a past, and a whole lot more have someone in their lives who has a past. If someone would make a good president, I don’t care if he’s married to blow up doll in a bikini. It’s not relevant.
We should treat elections as job interviews. Instead, we treat them like we’re looking for a roommate to share a two bedroom apartment. It drives me crazy.
