In THE BEST THREAD SINCE LIB AND ‘UP THE BUTT’ the statement is made(paraphrasing here) that the military starting in WWII and continuing into the Korean War period made a practice of circumcising soldiers(or at least encouraging it).
This was justifyably dismissed, but then posters started adding anecdotal evidence given by their fathers. It seems that it was military policy. These posts were in the latter part of the discussion 10-31, at around 6PM, for anyone who doesn’t want to trudge through the thread.
Can anyone give a good cite for why the military did this?
