I can’t even imagine a legal theory that would prohibit a private business from dropping a deplorable individual as a customer. It’s a free country, and all that. “Political ideology” is protected in employment in a few places (like Seattle) but it’s not generally protected in public accommodations. I hate to go out on a limb before I read the Complaint, but I will anyway. This suit, if brought, will be dismissed.
I don’t know how Google “censored” him, but I’m pretty sure it’s in the T&Cs for Facebook and Twitter that they can remove anyone from their platform whom they have deemed to have violated their terms of use. It’s not their fault he didn’t read the fine print.
That said, this is probably just another grift to get into the news and wheedle more donations from the rubes. Hope his lawyers are smart enough to get paid in advance.
I think the headline says it all. The only thing that surprises me is that John Kelly was was surprised. Apparently Kelly had to pound “never say anything good about Hitler” into Trump pretty hard.
But this reminded me of something more recent, something that got lost on the sidelines in the post-election noise.
Remember when the GA Secretary of State taped Trump pressuring him to fix the election. Brad Raffensperger had an attorney on that phone call with him, a man named Ryan Germany.
During the call, Trump said “Why don’t you want to find this, Ryan? What’s wrong with you? I’m sure you’re a good lawyer. You have a nice last name.
I thought that was the best part of the phone call, but the press barely mentioned it.
For a moment I though the headline was about “Hitler’s new book”, which was like - whoa.
Hitler is an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is getting recognized more and more, I notice.
Also from the article:
Trump made the remark after Kelly “reminded the president which countries were on which side during the conflict”
I wonder if all those veterans and greatest generation types who supported Trump had any idea how fucking stupid he was.
So Trump wants to force social media sites to allow anyone to post whatever they want–and also be liable for anything those people say.
The suits want the court to order the media companies to let Trump back on their platforms. They also want the court to declare that Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, a piece of legislation that stops tech companies from being held liable for what users post on their platforms, is unconstitutional.
Actually, I hope they aren’t, and don’t. Keep T**** digging deeper towards the bottom of the barrel as he tries to find new ones.
Individual 1 was known back in the 90s to have a copy of Hitler’s speeches on his bedside table.
Individual 1 golfing buddy charged with indecent assault.
He heard from DumpsterFire that all the girls like that. Better than some lame pickup line.
I was wondering how Individual 1 knew so much about Hitler’s economic philosophy. At least that proves he can read,I guess.
Juliani wasn’t.
Nah, it just proves that he occasionally watches the Hitler Channel (probably when he gets annoyed that Faux and ONAN are being insufficiently sycophantic).
And the grapes were sour, too.
Nice try, Donnie.
The Twitter, Facebook, who knows what else lawsuit grifting is in operation.
Isn’t Trump a quadrillionaire? Why does he need money from poor folk?
How do you think he became a quadrillionaire?
Anyone who can look on the rest of humanity and feel in his shriveled, grease-clogged heart that their money needs to be in his pocket, will be wealthy beyond all imagination in his own mind.
