Classic column re: Charles Drew, surgeon

Today the classic column from 1989 regarding a black surgeon caught my eye.

I’m wondering why Cecil didn’t take the questioner to task for his error in asking about the man who “invented blood plasma” (my bolding).

Heh. I was wondering that too. I thought surely Cecil would call him out on that. Must have been an off day for Cecil when he wrote that column.

Maybe his blood sugar was low.
