I’d like to put a list together of classical music stations that broadcast online. I know there are quite a few NPR stations, including the local KBAQ. Any other suggestions? They don’t have to be in English, but it would be helpful if they at least showed the name of the composer and the title of the work.
ABC Classic FM. All the programme listings are available online.
I’ve got Classic Breakfast going in the background at the moment.
BBC Radio 3. Here’s the home page
But there’s all sorts, it streams everything live, and there’s lots of downloads and podcasts.

WFMT, Chicago’s classical music station, offers online streaming in a variety of formats.
WQXR, from New York. Formerly, it was owned by the New York Times, but now it’s a non-profit public radio station.
Do you mean a list different from the dozens that show up under the Classical category in iTunes?
Cleveland’s classical music station, WCLV
WGUCfrom Cincinnati.
They don’t have to be different ones that the list in iTunes. Many of the iTunes stations are NPR stations, which is fine, but NPR stations usually have long breaks for news or other programming.
If there is a particular station in iTunes that someone likes, sure that would be a nice recommendation.
I briefly thought about typing up the list of Classical stations that show up on my AppleTV listing – but it is in excess of 200.
I have no ideas if this is through iTunes, but I tend to listen to Abacus.fm, sky.fm, radiomozart, radiocello, and RNW out of the Netherlands.
Minnesota Public Radio. It does show title/composer.
I helped this station start up 30 years ago
