I’m kind of a fan. Classy cleavage, though. I have several
dress outfits that have low cut square necklines, so it
shows just the shadow of the top of the bustline. I feel very “girlish” in something like that.
However, no stick on jewels. Ever. Yuck. I dont believe Ive
ever even seen such a thing, but dont think it would be for me.
The cleavage I’m not as big on is
a) fake boob cleavage where the breasts were so small to begin with, and the woman is so skinny, that there is this
unnatural looking gap between the tops of the breats, like
an INCH or TWO. Think Tori Spelling.
and
b) the other end of the spectrum. Older woman wears a revealing neckline, and there is a long, thin vertical line
between the boobies, which are smooshed together. Think the mother in Dirty Dancing.
Not so much into either of those.
But those Renaissance type gowns that are a bit revealing?
SO feminine and sexy!
scredle has soem valid points.
I’m not into plastic. I like to watch natural ripples when breasts bounce with each step on the stairs. Furthermore, the unnatural gap looks tacked on to me.
As for the older cleavage, I’m more supportive. I still like it. Even when it’s hanging down. I guess all those National Geographics I hid under the bed had an affect on me.

Sexy? Yes unless its in the trailor park.
Tacky? Depends, can be sexy and tacky at the same time.
Now I know every male reading this at least at one time or another can think of some very classy women showing some cleavage. The only thing that pisses me off is a woman intentionally showing something that she will get offended by someone looking at later.

True! This upsets me, as well. Why put it out and not (if it’s really OUT there, extremely obvious) and thus complain about the attention.
That’s why I make sure to go the extra mile and try to look down womens shirts who are NOT showing cleavage. That way they have a valid argument for slapping me. Nothing pisses me off more than being slapped for no reason.
But I’m always up for a good challenge. Hah!

I mean, there are times when cheap = hot. All the guys here know what I mean.
But, that aside: cleavage at the office = bad.
Cleavage at a bar, dance club, etc. = good.
Cleavage at a funeral = bad.
Cleavage on the beach = good.
Etc.
Cleavage at Dope-A-Ween = VERY GOOD
Right, RT?
I think it’s a good thing, in small amounts. The trick is to make it look like you aren’t going to great lengths to show it all off – I think that tends to be the aspect of clevage flaunting that makes people find it tacky.
But just a little peek seems just fine to me, and low cut formal wear like evening gowns can just be gorgeous.
Sexy.
I think that “accidental cleavage” is ok. That wholf be when the shirt just moves the wrong way anf you can see cleavage.
If a girl wears a shirt that has a lot of cleavage or a diamond sticker there I think it is trashy, but I will still look
Damn all the typos. I really need to preview my replies.
I think cleavage is great, and perfectly acceptable. Clothing that doesn’t fit, no matter what it is showing is tacky. Revealing clothing that does fit however is no different than concealing clothing that fis. If a girl is comfortable in wearing a low cut top, more power to her. It also shows, at least to me, an amount of self confidence that I find attractive. I like the “I don’t give a crap who thinks what, this is me” attitude. I might not find the particular girl attractive, but I still enjoy it. Some girls are trashy, low cut or not. Some girls couldn’t look trashy if they tried. Trashy to me is a total package and clothing doesn’t factor in, it’s attitude. I’ll take a classy girl in a low cut top over a bimbo in a suit any time.
I have size 38D breasts, so I think people notice them even when I’m wearing a sweatshirt. I tend to not show cleavage though, because I don’t want to look trashy. When your boobs are as big as mine, it’s easy to cross the line into trashy.
However, I found the perfect little black dress on sale about a year ago…very low cut, with a deep v neckline, for only $15 at Hecht’s. It shows a lot of cleavage, which sometimes makes me uncomfortable.
I wore it to my work’s Christmas part on Sunday, and for the sake of decency I wore a beautiful vintage black and silver embroidered shawl-type thing (it’s sort of like a poncho crossed with a shawl - loose, but not baggy, and it has a neckhole) with fringe. The front has a deep V neckline too, and when I tried it on, I realized that the girls were still on display. It looked pretty damn good, so I put on my never-before-worn Wonderbra and went with it.
I was complimented all night, and my date, a 42-year-old gay man, said that he might climb back in the closet because of my breasts. If they ever post some pictures on the work website, I’ll post them in my Yahoo photo album.
So I think in the right situation, it can look very classy. I also didn’t wear any jewelry, kept the shoes, hair, and purse very simple, and wore only really really red lipstick. I think that helped make it classy instead of trashy.
But any other time, I keep the girls in check. I don’t like feeling exposed.
Breasts … good.
Fire … BAD!
Absolutely correct… additional examples
Cleavage on Roseanne Barr = bad.
Cleavage on Christina Applegate = good.
Also, I can think of some instances (moments of extreme boredom for example) when cleavage at the office OR a funeral = good.
To sum up – cleavage mostly good, maybe tacky, once in a while downright scary.
I like when you can see the bottom of the thingies.
Now, of course…
Peeking at cleavage, here and there is one thing. If it’s a low cut top, or some type of revealing clothing. BUT…extremely short mini-skirts, is another thing.
I have to admit, there’s something about revealing “camel toe” that I DO NOT like. Not that I’m turned off when I catch a glimpse of a woman sitting across from me, who just uncrossed her legs. But, revealing what color underwear (or if ANY at all), seems to reach a level I might call trashy.
Is this any different from a woman showing off her cleavage?
After all, it’s just another part of her body, and as some have claimed, perhaps it’s a level of attitude, and self-esteem, that comes with the package. However, I feel like a VERY dirty old man (as opposed to just a dirty old man) checking the view of buttucks as mini-skirted women bend over inappropriately.
I have no problem with the breasts, but I do for the panties. Strange that is. It’s funny, since most bikini-thong-thangs are VERY revealing, you’d think there’d be more outcry. Yet, it’s acceptable to be practically nekkid on the beach, in public view, but many get more excitment when things are covered up. Strange society.
I’m gonna go to Europe, where there are plenty of nude beaches, and being topless for a woman is less a problem. Might as well get the whole picture, and not the edited version. Hah!

I agree with the good/bad posts. But I think tank tops are just wrong on anyone who isn’t Hans or Franz, except Linda Hamilton in T2.
Looking at these that classic look (top) is truely the best. The 2nd from the top just looks wrong.
This one is WAY to revealing. With the way those jazzy little round bits move around.
I don’t know why perfect cleavage is the easiest to produce. But I’m certainly glad that it is so.
----Side note----
Did you know March 29 is Cleavage Day in the UK? Somebody remember to bump this thread then, or start a new one.
And remember you don’t stare. You get a sense and look away.
Nacho4Sara-
I have the same size breasts as you, and also have very dark hair (I’ve seen a pick in another thread-I’m not psychic!), so I totally agree how cleavage can be classy
coupled with red lipstick, NO jewelry, etc. Kind of an old movie siren glamour.
I have a question, though:
Where did you get your Wonderbra? I thought they only went
up to C-cup, as so many styles do… (but hey-thats a rant and a whole other issue…)
In the right setting showing a little cleavage is sexy. If you’ve got it flaunt it and all that. But the crucial thing is proper support. High firm breasts with about 4 inches of cleavage is good. Long thin breast with 14 inches of cleavage is bad, very bad.
Thank heavens for size 40DD Playtex 18 hour bras. They make the girls look 20 years younger–also a good thing.
May I ask what your problem is with the jewels and glitter? I personally absolutly love both, and sometimes wear glitter, though I’m male, just because I think it’s so cool.
