I’m a vegetarian/piscetarian, my gf isn’t. She’s not too hot on seafood. Other than that we’re into pretty much any sort of cuisine. What restaurants in the Cleveland area would you recommend?
Empress Taytu on St Clair (near E55th).
Ethiopian cuisine.
In my neck of the woods, there’s Tommy’s on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights. It’s a local institution; primarily vegetarian, but they have some carnivore-friendly foods, too.
There’s a kosher vegetarian restaurant at Cedar Road and Green Road in South Euclid. Can’t think of the name, but it’s in a small strip plaza filled with businesses catering to the nearby Orthodox Jewish community. Also in South Euclid is one of the few remaining businesses in the soon-to-be-demolished Cedar Center at Cedar and Warrensville Center Roads: Peking Gourmet. Vegan, vegetarian, and macrobiotic Chinese food, along with some meat-based specials. Across the street is Whole Foods Supermarket, with a dining counter that serves organic vegetarian and meat-based dishes.
