Got stumped by this one in a pub quiz recently - apologise if it’s a gimme for US posters:
Name the most northerly, easterly, southerly and westerly US states.

Right director (one of them, anyway), wrong film.

Hmm.
Alaska, Alaska, Hawaii, and Maine?

I was thinking
northerly, easterly, southerly and westerly
Alaska, Hawaii, Hawaii and Alaska
Reasoning that we are in the Western Hemisphere and therefore Hawaii is East? If Hawaii is West then it should be Alaska, Maine Hawaii and Hawaii. Of course I could also be completely wrong. Maybe Alaska,Hawaii, Hawaii and Hawaii?
Very close adhemar but not precisely right IIRC
Oops. I swapped east and west in my answer. Meant to be Alaska Maine Hawaii Alaska.

Isaac Asimov argued such in one of his Black Widowers stories. Though I forget the logic that led to that conclusion.
I would think Alaska being argued as the eastern most point would have to do with the Aleutian Islands lining up under Russia. Russia is considered a Eastern country. Map
Dear Reality Chuck and WotNot, I admit I made a complete bollocks of the Dennis the Menace question. My shame and guilt confound me. I hope I’ll do better with this comics-themed question:
Which two characters, in two comic strips drawn by different artists, are brother and sister?
Which letter (or letters, I suppose) is/are the most common starting letter of U.S. states?
Who was the only King to be crowned in Westminster Abbey?

M and N, eight states each.
And no, I didn’t look it up.

Name the movie that featured (a) a star, and (b) footage of that star’s actual funeral.

Would this one be The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield?

That movie seems to be a thrown-together documentary after her death, and it wasn’t what I was thinking of. The movie I’m talking about was fictional, and the funeral was incorporated into the story. (Oooh, there’s a hint for you.)

Beetle Bailey (from the eponymous strip drawn by Mort Walker) is the brother of Lois from Hi and Lois (drawn by Chris Browne, I think).
What product’s tagline used to be “Whitens teeth as it freshens breath?”
