Hint to both candidates “The details are on my website.”
It’s also her biggest drum. If she can’t win us over on her healthcare plan, she’s got nothing.
It’s pronounced “Tolly-bon”? I’ve always sad “Tal-i-ban.”
She’s got nothing - healthcare is number 2 in my book, and her plan does not realisticly cover everyone without raising taxes to an enormous degree. He has said from the beinning his plan will sting but it will sting a lot less than her plan ultimately will -WHY DOESN’T SHE SAY THAT?? EERRGGG!!
Pocky-stahn?
Based on her education, experience, and success, Hillary must be much smarter than me. But her health care plan, like her campaign, make no sense to me and for obvious reasons. There must be some aspect of her that refuses to take criticism, to ignore obviously problems with her solutions.
He needs to stop saying uh.
Clinton seemed a bit stronger on foregin policy issues, Obama seemed to be a little unsure until the end of his comment about McCain.
He is totally ready to be Commander in Chief. She has a huge chip on her shoulder and it show.
I still have an immense respect for Hillary Clinton. I fervently hope that once Obama becomes president, she sets aside the acrimony and uses all her intelligence, skill and power to get his policies enacted.
Hillary’s refrain is “You know…”
Obama’s is “Understand…”
Just an observation.
Hold on… is Hillary saying that she hopes the American People have friends and family?
Care to elaborate?
One can claim no longer that debates are Obama’s weak spot. He is shining strong tonight.
Perhaps I need some ignorance fought here, but why does Obama never bring up the Lugar-Obama nonproliferation initiative? Bipartisan work to rid a dangerous and reemerging Russia of WMDs and conventional weapons? Seems like a good policy and a substantive point to raise.
It was kind of a real-time post, but it was a reference to the “plagiarism” charge. I’d say the debate was mostly even, but Obama clearly won that round.
Did I just see Clinton acknowledge that Obama may be the next president of the United States?
“* I am honored to be sitting here with Barack Obama*” I read that as a sign she may be coming to grips with the inevitable.
No cable, so maybe someone can answer a question: The CNN story says Hillary said something about a 5-year interest rate freeze, in relation to the credit crunch. Was it a specific rate she was talking about?
Some of mine was restored. My complaints against her have been exclusively about her campaign strategies, but I respect her values and her policy smarts.
I don’t remember exactly what she said, but she did say something about adjustable rate mortgages… I thought she was only partially right on that, since it is basically saying “don’t give crappy credit deals to people with crappy credit” (which I agree with) but doesn’t address either the reasons why people have crappy credit in the first place or how else such people will ever be able to buy a home.
It seems like CNN is trying to spin the last few minutes as giving Hillary a victory.
Yes, I’ve been really disappointed with that, as a matter of fact that was the final push for me towards Obama. Not that I thought she was being unfair or anything, but I expected better from her. Especially since they seemed so weak.
