Clinton/Obama Ticket

I’m not sure this is 100% accurate. Even if it is, this Vp story is not a mini-controversy, it’s openly hypocritical of her own campaign having flung the kitchen sink at him already, then turning and saying it was all a ruse I’d still have him as a Vp. Doesn’t look very solid on her part.

So Obama isn’t qualified to be commander in chief but he’d be a-ok as a running mate. This means either

Clinton was lying when she said Obama was unqualified

Clinton was lying when she said her running mate would be fit to be president

Being fit to be commander in chief is not a significant criteria for being vice president

Clinton is such a wonderful trainer she could get Obama up to speed by 1/20/09.
What a bonehead political move that was. Not the way to win friends and influence super delegates.

considering the slimey tactics the Clinton campaign has been using I really am flabbergasted that they actually have supporters. I will be so glad when this fiasco is done with. Hopefully HRC will slither back to NY and fade away over time. I used to have some measure of respect for her. Its long gone.

From the Washington Post:

As I was saying earlier, they’ve given up on even trying to make sense.

Obama is campaigning on good judgment, and asking her to be his VP would be the paragon of atrocious judgment. No way he asks her, and no way he accepts if (by some miracle) she wins and asks.

Nancy Pelosi has ruled it out, too.

Thank og. Finally someone with some sense speaks out.

She really could have worded that better however. I can already see the Clinton campaign cutting from your quote everything before ‘Senator’ and everything after ‘Obama’. Trimming it down just to a dirty, little commercial size.

Check out the comments to that. Thank og - we know who she is supporting in this whole thing…I wonder why no endorsement yet? If the party upper echelon start jumping to Obama it’ll point the remaining states delegates and hopefully voters to Obama.

I’m loving those comments. I also love how there are some people outside of the Obama blogs who are using Hussein in their names. Love the pride and ownership!

I can only guess why she hasn’t endorsed him by now, all of which would be reasonable assumptions. But clearly she is not happy that Hillary is going around repeatedly propping up the Republican candidate against her Democratic rival. It really is shameful.

But Nancy Pelosi Rocks! I’m starting to think maybe Obama/Pelosi

Why is she calling it the Clinton administration? Something we don’t know?

Well I agree with you part way.

Hillary’s “trial balloon” of suggesting a Clinton/Obama ticket was ill advised, at best. Probably closer to crazy stupid… And her comments about McCain were also a BIG mistake. I was very disappointed.

But Obama/Pelosi? I know you’re kidding (I hope). She gets rubber stamped here. I vote for her every time, but really, what has she done?

The comments on the cited page tend to lean towards it being a swipe at Billary. I wouldn’t have reached that conclusion on my own, and not sure if that’s what it means, or if it was intentional or not.

It’s worded like this: …Clinton Administration (sic)…
Meaning it’s an incorrect phrase…

I do not understand the hatred of Hillary for just doing what politicians do. They all bend the facts to win. She is ambitious .It is not a grievous fault. At least not in politics.
I would vote for her if I had to. These last 7 years have been a shameful disaster. I want the power of America as far from the neocons as is possible. If she is the dem nominee I will gladly vote for her over a war mongering republican geezer.

(sic) doesn’t mean the phrase is incorrect per se, (sic) means that it’s* quoted *correctly. The question remains, why did Peloski refer to it as an administration.

I think she was just saying it as a faux…not meaning it literally.

Video of the I’m not running for VP speech (one of many).

In regards to Wolfson’s statement “Senator Obama has not passed the commander-in-chief test” but “we have a long time until Denver”, does anybody know what exactly does he (or Clinton) feel that Obama can do twixt now and summer to become presidential calibre? Is there a “How to Be PotUSA for Dummies” crash course he can take (that apparently Bush never showed up for) or can he like, maybe, govern Puerto Rico or one of those “I” states in the middle of the country til then to get a handle, or wear a “Trainee” badge or…? Regardless of your opinions on the man he’s ready now or he isn’t and a few months makes not much difference.

In another thread somebody said “I remember when some of these same people thought HRC was the greatest thing since white bread”, which is somewhat true. I would have been a Clinton supporter at one point and still will be more enthusiastic if she get the nomination than I ever was for Kerry, but her campaign is largely why I’m behind Obama. She’s shown that she can’t admit error, comes across as increasingly insincere, that she’s illogical and inconsistent when cornered, that she’s- well, she’s Slick Hilly without the charisma and charm of Slick Willie, and this “offer” is probably the most ridiculous thing of all yet.

Ladies and gentlemen, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton in an act of desperation…
"My husband and I had an act that couldn’t flop/my husband and I were headed straight for the top/my husband and I earned a mill for a speech at least-oh yeah/but my husband’s career is now unfortunately deceased…
“First I’d -take the troops out and promise to insure all the poor/then he’d- bomb Sudan and ban the soldier gays-/ but I can’t do it alone!”

I really do hope they hold somebody’s feet to the fire and try to get a real answer to that question.

I have a suggestion:
