Clinton Slips Leash; Jennings Critical

To malkavia:

Back off, please.

The rest of the transcript is (for me, at least) not Bill at his best - He positively wallows in self-pity and self-justification. So he got a standing ovation from the UN - the same forum that accepted Yasser Arafat as a great statesman. Wow. The burning question is: Why is that sort of approval so important to Bill? He comes across as so needy. It is quite obvious that Dubya does not give a fat rat’s ass what the UN thinks of him. And, frankly, I think that makes GWB a better man than Clinton.

I’m not. I believe a president should choose whoever he wants on his cabinet. Although I do think it is a wise political and pragmatic move to have a mixed cabinet.

For me it’s not about dissent. I’ve had discussions with Bricker, Duffer etc. I think they’re often wrong, but I don’t think they’re assholes. Roseworm, however…

And quite amusing that we need the UN’s help and UN member nations’ help desperately to win this ‘war on terror.’
Guess that little detail slipped your mind?

Say uncle.

Cite, please, that the impeachment was illegal and/or unconstitutional. And a link to a liberal blog that quotes someone’s opinion that is was illegal doesn’t count. Can you manage that, or are you still posting b.s., as usual?

What have you got against junkyard dogs, that you want to demean them like that?

This is true. :smack:

It’s not just the UN though. He doesn’t seem like he gives a “fat rat’s ass” about what ANYONE thinks of him, which is great when you’re a loner, Dottie. A rebel.

But when you’re the leader of the free world? Yeah, not so much.

This is kind of short sighted drivel that I find it hard to acknowledge as just differning opinion. If Dubya’s fat rat’s ass were on the line in Iraq he might get away with this stance, but he sends troops to fight his war and thumbs his nose at potential support for them. That is not the measure of a man in my book.

By the way, don’t you know better than to try to reason with a Malkavian? They’ve nucking futs man!

Mcfeh!
“they’ve gone”

Seriously though Roseworm, does it not occur to you that maybe it’s something about your posting style in the pit that inflames passions so readily?

It’s on purpose. Looks that way to me anyway.

YMMV

Well, if that were the case, it would be uncomfortably close to trolling…

No you aren’t. Please tell me you aren’t. It is just your opinion right?

Of course I’m not accusing anybody of anything.
It’s not even my opinion that roseworm is trolling.
I’m just saying, that if someone were to post here with the intent of getting people upset, that behavior would be uncomfortably close to trolling.

Good thing he didn’t lie about weapons of mass destruction, or anything. I mean, seriously… a man who’d lie about those might lie about something really important, like a blowjob!

Bill Clinton once commented that his two favorite heroes are Elvis Presley and John F. Kennedy. And therein lies the source of his Fatal Flaw (He has many flaws, but we will concentrate on the Big One).

For I sincerely believe that Clinton confused the role of a Rock Star and the role of a President. They are two very different things, with different mindsets and different standards of behavior. More to the point, a President is not a Rock Star. And yet, that is precisely the way Bill approached his presidency.

All politicians love the adulation of the crowd. But that adulation is the very breath of life to Bill Clinton. He wants to be loved - wildly loved - by everyone. His own mother once noted that if Bill is in a room with 100 people and 99 of them love Bill, he will spend all night with the one, trying to win him over.

And the sad irony is, Bill is not loved and never has been. His popularity is based on infatuation, which is altogether different - and fleeting.

Bill Clinton will never live in the hearts and minds of Americans the way Ronald Reagan does. Historically, he will never be more than a greasy footnote between Bush the Elder and Bush the Younger.

On the contrary, from where I sit it looks like Bill Clinton will be remembered as the lowest point of the Republican Party, the later efforts of Bush II to sub-descend that point notwithstanding.

Mostly though 8 years of peace and prosperity. WJC was a popular and moderately successful President and for that reason the GOP was prepared to go to any depth to destroy and damage his Presidency and legacy.

That’s how it looks and Roseworm’s contribution is further evidence of that view.

What’s your estimation of John Kennedy, Roseworm? He too has his detractors.

How many of these  must one post have?

Dude (or whatever) you’re daft.

I dislike B.J. (heh) Clinton for several personal reasons (not the least of which was one VERY cold February night that I spent stuck in front of that big blue plane, while that googly hillrod went to a $1000 a plate dinner for Dick Durbin) but to say he’s little more than a footnote? That’s plain obtuse, even for you.

How in the blue fuck do you reason that the thought process of every person who voted for wild Bill was infatuation? You psychic? Y’think that maybe, just maybe, the people that voted for him (of which I am not one) actually BELIEVED in what he stood for? Or are you that myopic to believe only what El Rushbo tells you to believe?

Nevermind. Asked and answered.

You are now invited to, at your earliest convenience, bite me.

I fully anticipate your whining and complaining that it’s only a few hundred with an opinion, and they are all a buncha libbys anyway, and here’s what Rupert Murdoch and the Reverend Moon have to say, wah wah wah.

Because you are an ass with an agenda, and you relentlessly lie, I will not be responding to you in future, on any topic, for any reason. Make a note of it.

Wow, that’s about the worst analogy I’ve ever heard.
