Here’s hoping. He’s in such denial about his poor first-debate showing that I suspect he’s going to resist any coaching. And if he does accept coaching, I doubt he’s going to be able to make good use of it in the short time remaining. Probably just come across as sullen/sedated.

Trump has been up in Ohio polls in recent weeks, but I think it’s definitely winnable for Hillary, especially with more unflattering Trump stories (taxes, Miss Universe, etc.), a couple more good debates and her strong GOTV effort here.
All ashore that’s going ashore from the Trumptanic!
IMO, the most effective line of attack for Ohio is going to be Trump’s use of Chinese steel and aluminum in two of his last three large buildings. American industry - and the workers Trump is playing to - lost out on hundreds of millions of dollars on Trump’s decision.
The piece talks about the definitions off various types of ass in the political sphere. For example, Newt Gingrich? Asshole. Sarah Palin? Ass-clown. But then the argument is that Trump takes it to a whole new level by combining the two types, and is an asshole/ass-clown, defined thusly:
Does Wendy McCaw, the owner of the Santa Barbara News-Press have any relationship to Trump? I’m aware of the controversy concerning freedom of the press involving McCaw’s attempts to suppress news reported by her editorial staff, but as far as I can tell, the News-Press is the only newspaper that has endorsed Trump which does not have Trump ties.
The others are:
The National Enquirer (which isn’t a real newspaper, of course), owned by a Trump buddy
The National Observer - owned by Trump’s son-in-law
The New York Post - owned by the Murdoch family
IMO, he knocked it out of the park with that speech. That’s a level of emotion that makes people gasp and take notice, and that’s something Hillary lacks on the trail. Hillary should buy him a steak dinner for that one.
I love Joe. He speaks with a real passion that goes beyond politics. If you know his real life story, you come away thinking that he is genuine, a real person. When he speaks with emotion, like he does about Trump, it’s not politics, it’s because he fears what an ignorant person like Trump could do in a position of power.
…and she’s just squeezed through to a lead in the Polls Plus as well:
[ul]
[li]North Carolina Now Cast: 64.5% Clinton[/li][li]North Carolina Polls Only: 58.7% Clinton[/li][li]North Carolina Polls Plus: 51.1% Clinton[/li][/ul]
As bienville said, the Polls Only forecast has a 1.4% chance that New Mexico goes to neither Trump nor Clinton. Assuming that’s all Johnson, it seems right. They simulate the election 20,000 times - Johnson should win New Mexico at least a few times. You don’t throw results out unless you’ve got a good reason to, so Johnson’s victories are factored into the model results.
Fractional EV totals are not a possible outcome. Therefore they cannot be the most probable. Clear?
NM has 5 EV’s. Johnson has a small chance at getting 5, but no chance at getting 0.2. Sometimes Silver, and his most ardent admirers, get so lost in the math that they lose sight of when it switches from continuous to discrete.
It has since been taken down but the internet never forgets. This is just so stupid. Sure, have your spin ready but why would you play your hand like that?
Well thanks for linking up a 404 error anyways. If the internet never forgets howzabout you link to where it’s remembered.
Eta: though I will say their 404 error message is both lame and stupid.
“What do Hillary Clinton and this link have in common?
They’re both “dead broke.””
