Well the problem is despite being “not quite an N-Bomb” you went and mock the standard n-bomb defense. But it doesn’t make sense in this case. Black people don’t call each “uncle tom” all the time, it’s an insult no matter who says it. And it’s not some phrase that used to be a polite word and now is antiquated. So it kind of looks like you had this post all ready to go for when the N-Bomb dropped and decided screw it, I’m gonna post it anyways.
Why doesn’t the Clinton-controlled anti-Trump media conspiracy force MGM to release The Apprentice videos? Maybe the conspiracy does not exist!?
I did not get this from his comments. What I got is that it is the responsibility of ALL OF US, in particular witnesses or bystanders, to not put up with sexist or racist behavior or comments, and if we see such things, we should stand up in real live to denounce them, and not merely comment on these pages going tsk tsk.
I think I have finally figured out that your only point in most of these discussions is to find something, ANYthing to argue about.
Because those videos show Andrew Douche Cray to be a compassionate, intelligent and progressive person without a shred of animosity or prejudice. So, they pretend that they cannot release them because reasons. Yeah, right, like he has a history of siccing his lawyers on people!
Fair enough. I’ll be honest…I’m hoping these tapes get leaked. I am hoping for a final nail in the coffin. (So yes, I’m biased.) I’m wondering what it would it would take to get around the stonewalling. I’m sure the Acess Hollywood tapes were damaging to that show and network…at minimum, they were damaging to Billy Bush. I can’t help but feel that the only reason nothing has come to light yet, is that there is something actionable recorded that could hurt MGM. Could be I’m wrong and my bias is showing, but I get the feeling there will be a steady rise in the calls for MGM to show their cards. Then again…the steady call for Clinton to release her emails hasn’t gone anywhere, so who knows.
I don’t see that. I only see them getting angrier that the election was “stolen” and doubling down.
Uh… that would be illegal, Steve.
By the way, Ivanka is five minutes away from me today. I honestly feel bad for her. I can’t imagine having to answer questions about your fathers disturbing behavior.
She’s free to express her disgust at his behaviour and urge people not to support him at any time.
Touché
Why are there no pictures? Everybody has a camera on their hip all the time now; why aren’t there pictures of these guys with their guns?
Just like with police violence, photographic or video evidence is a much more powerful means of conveying information than someone’s words.
There’s no upside for MGM to do anything unless forced to.
You are correct that if someone came out and said they were on the set when tape was running and Trump said he “could smell that nigger’s pussy from across the room” there would be some pressure on MGM to confirm or deny it.
Not having Donald Trump be our President for 4 years isn’t an upside? :dubious:
Her appearances have been in a very controlled setting interacting with donors and big supporters. The sex assault stuff never comes up in these interactions.
She is probably doing just enough to not get cut out of the will.
Being the voice of reason is such a thankless job.
And The Donald is fully capable of doing that and more. He cut off health care benefits for his own relative with cerebral palsy for God’s sake, just because the infant had the nerve to have parents who had been cut out of his father’s will.
Trump is simply a horrible, horrible human being.
A First Amendment solution to a Second Amendment solution.
Just curious, do you actually have any opinions of your own, or are you motivated entirely by a desire to criticize the arguments made by others? Past the high school debate coach persona, is there any sort of foundation there?
For the record, I didn’t have that post “all ready to go”. I dashed it off without a lot of thought between other things I was doing. I’m sorry it didn’t meet your rhetorical standards.
I think–and I could be mistaken–that you are misinterpreting what JohnT said. I believe he’s talking about bystanders speaking out, not the victims. It’s a variation on “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil…” line.
If so, it’s a valid point, though hyperbolically stated. One way to counter Trump’s coarsening of America is to stigmatize those who have been emboldened to openly abuse others. They need to be called out on their actions, not by the victims (or not just by the victims–I’m all in favor of the victims getting their shots in, if they’re up for it), but by everyone around them. If they take Trump as a signal that it’s okay to crawl out from under their rocks, at least we’ll know where to stomp.
