Hell no. Hell no.
Debates come, and me wanna go home.
Shit, he say shit, he say shit, he say shit, he say shit, he a shit head.
Debates come, and me wanna go home.
Up all night in a Twitter storm
Debates come, and me wanna go home
Make worse noise than a fire alarm
Debates come, and me wanna go home.
There is a tally light, camera on the Trumper.
He say shit, make me wanna go home.
There is a tally light, camera on the Trumper.
Racist shit, make me wanna go home.
Say sexist, racist, hateful shit
Loom over me, make me wanna go home
Sexist, racist, stupid shit
Loom over me, make me wanna go home
[chorus]
An ugly thatch of tweaked-out hair
Orange face, beamed right into your home
Astride the cesspool he keeps up there
Orange face, glaring into your home
Derleth, much better than the “Taliban” version of the song! Perhaps Belafonte will record it (since after supporting Bernie he did move on to endorsing Hillary).
My Canadian sister passed on an absolutely glorious takedown of Trump from a Canadian paper. It’s really worth reading in its entirety (and it’s pretty short), but here’s a bit to whet your appetite:
Huh, that’s not how I think of it. I separate 17 into 10 and 7. 6x10 is obviously 60. And anyone who knows their times tables knows 6x7 is 42. 60+40 is, again obviously, 100; tack on the 2 you’ve got left and it’s 102. Writing it down makes it sound complicated but the mental process is pretty simple IMO.
Often the measure of a poster is how they stand up to veiled threats, day in and day out, by being true to the values that they were raised with.
True to the values taught to them and shared with them from parents… from teachers… from neighbors… from friends at schools and possibly even from houses of worship.
True to the values that they believe in at their very core… values that family have fought and died for over time… even over generations.
At one time there were people who walked on the very ground you stand on today as you read this who agreed to common principles… agreed to a framework of the enforcement of rules,
of the creation of legislation, and for the determination of a fair and reasonable justice. They reached down and grabbed a handful of land and, holding it up with pride, agreed that this place was special…
and that by common agreement all would be created equal and that all would have their say.
The people on soap boxes would not be arrested or harassed, because if people didn’t like what they had to say, they were free to walk away or to not vote for them.
It was understood that anyone on a soap box without a crowd was no threat to anyone and that they should be, by right, left alone… possibly to find better ideas.
It was understood that in a land where where competing businesses could and would be encouraged… and called capitalism…which most agreed was good…
that competing ideas would be another freedom that was equally as important and equally as good.
The mark of a poster is in how they stand up to those who’d claim some ‘mob-right’ to mete out punishment for expressing and sharing ideas…
and one of the marks of the success of our form of government is in how it ensures that freedom of expression is not suppressed by the power of any public mob.
“America is a *wonderful *place. It’s good that you’re having an election, real good, with that fine Donald Trump fellow. There’s no need to send us into the cornfield, even if that’s a good place too.”
As far as “Trump TV”, if it ever goes anywhere I suspect it will be like most Trump businesses. Somebody else puts up the money and does all the work, and pays Trump to put his name on it, and Trump walks away with his money. And if the venture craters why should he care? He’s already gotten paid.
