Clinton v Trump - The Stretch Run Thread

Sorry, can’t help you. We’re clearly in the same boat.

Newt Gingrich thinks Fox News is biased against Trump.

Didn’t Scott Adams claim a few months back to be “endorsing” Hillary (“for his own safety” or somesuch nonsense as he lives in California)? Now he seems to really be flailing in frustration almost as badly as the Big Cheeto himself:

If the axiom was just “murder is wrong,” sure. But when the axiom is “life is precious,” then they are morally the same. It doesn’t matter whether action or inaction produces the consequences that contradict the axiom.

The pro-life position is that the fetus is entitled to life. That’s why abortion is wrong. And thus, likewise, refusing to care for the fetus is wrong. Both result in the fetus’s right to life being violated.

The comment section below the transcript is delicious - there is some fine writing there.

Thus increasing the world’s gold supply and causing all of those idiots who bought gold at inflated prices from dealers who advertise on Fox News to lose even more money, resulting in their abandoning Fox for Trump TV and it’s distinguished inaugural anchor Sean Hannity. Now it all makes sense.

Donald Trump’s campaign has spent more on hats than on polling.
Quote from the Washington Post article:

Pretty well sums up the campaign, really. I wonder how much of a cut he gets from the buying of hats?

Has Trump offered Newt a position with Trump News Network yet?

Well, if he made them on Vistaprint, which it looks like he did, bought 160,000 at a rate of $8 a piece, then sold them to his campaign for $20 a pop, he just made a cool 2 mil. Even more if he was able to dicker them down on the bulk rate. And we’re looking at pure profit if he ended up going full Trump on Vistaprint’s ass!

All hat, no prattle.

Trump TV crashed on its second day.

Fox News attracts all the literati.

Where the hallmark of a fine writer is randomly operating the “Shift” key with your forehead.

The sun is riz, the sun is set, and Hillary is still winning this election yet.

…and it goes against their principles to defend themselves pro bono or something?

Rachel Maddow had a fairly extensive bit (you have to click on the “Trump out of energy” video in the upper right corner) today comparing the activities of the two campaigns in these final two weeks. Clinton and Kaine - endless fundraisers, an average of 3 or 4 per day each. Trump? No more fundraisers, in fact none since last week, including no fundraisers to help down-ticket Republicans.

So what Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan have done is somehow magically come up with $25 mil (Maddow calls it “dark money” from a PAC associated with McConnell) to give to six Republican senate races, hoping to keep control of the Senate.

Oh, yeah, and Trump’s father has been accused of saying “We don’t rent to (N-word)s” to one of his rental managers back in the 60’s, and very young Donald was there and nodded. This is from said rental manager, now elderly, who was willing to say it on camera. I don’t know how much play this is going to get, it’s pretty thin. If Donald had said it on his own, be it ever so long ago, it might be interesting. As is, not so much.

Nice sample from the comments:

“In 2 weeks the name Trump is going to be roughly synonymous to an incurable STD”
Recently thought about going into some of the comments sections on the breitbart site as Eddie the Deplorable to offer some helpful advice and general whimsy, but then I thought naaa fuck it.

This sympathetic ad for a local republican is a true palate cleanser. Please reelect Gerald, his wife says. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/10/24/politics/gerald-daugherty-campaign-ad-trnd/

I’d vote for him!

Did Megan Kelly just kick olde Newt in the nutz? (Scroll down).

Some of the comments are pretty good:
