When you visit your local church/temple/mosque, you will find all clergy have been arrested. They will be replaced by former Trump University instructors. The buildings will be renovated. Bibles, Jesus statues, crucifixes, etc. will be removed. Instead there will be large pictures of Donald and the Virgin Ivanka. Prayers will concentrate on religious texts such as “The Art of the Deal.” America will be great again!
Okay, what keywords do you think they set? “Wikileaks”, “Benghazi”? I confess that I haven’t read any Wikileaks data dumps. But it would surprise me greatly if the story from Sputnik (or, rather, the doctored email which spawned it) was the only occurrence of those terms. It strikes me that whatever search terms the Google Alerts would plausibly be set to ping on would be likely to fit several items besides the doctored email, most of them nothingburgers. Do we assume that the Donald’s staffers have the perspicacity to recognize and discard all of the nothingburgers, and find this one perfect golden nugget of Benghazi smoking gun?
Somebody is going to have to educate me on how Google Alerts work before I’ll be prepared to swallow that one.

Wait a minute. Trump has said that the IRS audits him because he is such a strong Christian. Was he LYING?
When did he say that? I’ve heard him say that he’s under perpetual audit, but not a victim of religious persecution.
“I’m always audited by the IRS, which I think is very unfair — I don’t know, maybe because of religion, maybe because of something else, maybe because I’m doing this, although this is just recently,” Trump said in an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo immediately following the 10th GOP debate on Thursday night.
Cuomo cut in: “What do you mean religion?”
“Well, maybe because of the fact that I’m a strong Christian, and I feel strongly about it and maybe there’s a bias,” Trump said.
But I’m pretty sure his supporters will say he never said that.

I think this is just the beginning. They have a thirst for violence that won’t be satisfied until violence happens.
Now that’s interesting, because no one’s polling McMullin. I wonder if McMullin is going to be a much bigger outlet for disaffected Republicans than we currently think, maybe putting up Johnson-level numbers of 7% or so?
I have a Google alert for my nom de plume; it may take several days for me to get a notification, or at least hours. I don’t know how it works, but it’s not necessarily immediately after publication.
Just went to look up where McMullin is on the ballot. The WikiMan, he say:
Of the states in which his name will appear on the ballot, Iowa is the one most likely to be at tipping point where a halfway decent McMullin vote could scupper things for Trump. I have no idea how significant the write-in vote contingent will be, although I note Ohio, Arizona, Alaska and Pennsylvania on this list which will not help Trump at all.
Trump’s done so none of this really matters. Would actually be good for Republicans with a conscience to register their support for McMullin.
Hmm, who else do we know that wants to provoke a violent ideological war to overthrow the establishment and create a society that conforms to their doctrine?
I don’t think Trump is quite done yet. The race will get interesting again, however unfucking believable that might seem. One thing that is different about this election is that scandals that would have long ago put away Trump seem to fade within days, if not hours. Trump’s numbers are the result of a cumulative effect of sustained scandal, but any one of these would have probably ended the race, if not the careers, of many others. He still stands. And he stands with Russia, Assange, and Breitbart.
And he is an irredeemable deplorable…
