I saw this question on “another board.” Someone said that he saw “Close Encounters” in a theater during its orginal run, and saw a scene with a scarecrow, in which, Melinda Dillon, looking for her kid, suddenty comes face-to-face with a scarecrow, and scares the crap out of her.
There’s no mention of this on IMDB in their “alternate versions,” but I thought I’d post it here just in case anyone else has ever heard of this. This is a common device in moves, but I know I didn’t see it when it was running.
Anyone???
