I clicked on two threads about “race debates”. They had been closed. The threads vanished when I backed out. Is this usual for closed threads?

I think I know which two threads you’re talking about. I suspect that the OP of those two threads got themselves quickly banned (probably for socking), and that may have led to the cornfielding of the threads.
