Who fucking died and made you king of the fucking SDMB, that you decide that I needed to be pitted because you don’t like the fact that I offer comments on topics? I guess what annoys you is that my comments are for the most part correct, and you can’t handle that for some reason.

No, what bothers people is that you think the truth of your comments is so evident that you don’t need to provide any argument, evidence, or support in favor of them. That’s what makes them drive-by comments. The fact that you apparently have a direct line to the truth doesn’t exempt you from the norms of this message board–norms such as “Offer evidence for controversial claims,” etc. And if you think you are too good, too smart, too important, or too busy to follow the norms of this board, then don’t fucking post here. There are plenty of people on this board who share many opinions with you, and the reason they don’t get pitted is because they realize their positions aren’t self-evident and obvious to any sentient being, and bother to offer arguments in favor of their claims.
