I’m currently at a St. Patty’s Day party and we’re on our second keg. The first keg yielded a very cloudy substance similar to beer but differing in at least 2 respects: it looked cloudy, and it tasted horrible. (FYI, I think we ordered Bud). We called back the store to tell them and they graciously came by to replace it with a new keg. They were very eager to appease us and this has led some people here to believe that perhaps they had some serious concerns about possible consequences of drinking cloudy beer.
Personally I got used to it after half a glass and was quite willing to drink it all night, but then again, I’m broke and have become accustomed to drinking cheap beer.
My question is: what could possibly have caused the cloudiness? and might it have been harmful to one’s health? (i.e. in ways that non-cloudy beer wouldn’t be).
