Don’t think of it as the committee disliking George W. Bush alone; think of it as the committee being collectively hopeful that a militarily belligerent and dangerous political party may finally be out of power in the US, and by peaceful means.

Well, if you put it that way it sounds reasonable.

Are their faces gonna be red when the guy starts instituting death panels, killing grannies and children with Down S. , assassinating political opponents and sending them to prisoner camps, organizing school children to praise his glory and turning all around into that other guy whose name I forget. Mark my words.

Seriously, elucidator, I don’t think anyone’s saying it’s an insult so much as just lame. I mean, I voted for the guy, and I like him too. But for the Peace Prize, he’s kind of a light weight.
