I just got off the phone with the most clueless person I’ve ever spoken with. As I’ve mentioned before, I sell health insurance to small businesses. I’m used to people not understand the process or terms but this one surpassed them all.
A few of the gems from this conversation…
Me: What is the zip code of the business?
Her: 90…(someone in the background corrects her) 3…(someone corrects her again and after them repeating it 4 times she finally gets it) 90305.
That one wasn’t too bad, I can understand not knowing your business zip code right off, but it was only a prelude to the coming lack of grey matter.
Me: What is the name of the business
Her says name of school (someone in the background corrects her) then she says the correct name to me
Me: Has the business received any advertising from us?
Her: No
Me: How did you hear about our services?
Her: We got this information in the mail
Me: Oh, what did you receive?
Her: Looks like an advertisement.
What I then wanted to say but didn’t: Didn’t you just tell me you didn’t get any advertising?? What did you think that thing in your hands from us was?
Me: Who am I speaking with today?
Her asking someone else:He wants to know who he’s speaking with.
What?? She doesn’t know her own name?? :dubious: :eek:
And for the capper that brings it back around to the thread title…
Me: And what is your position there?
Her: Teacher.
I tell ya, I wasn’t sure if I should laugh or cry. Those poor kids.
