Ya, but, but, but… wait till next year!
I’m inheriting some money from my father. I think I might actually do this.
Certainly if either the Riders or the Als are in town - I think you and I can agree on that, at least!
A-hem. The season hasn’t even started and already you’re carving up the spoils?
Oh, you people who follow winning teams, with your faith and hope untempered by disappointment; how cleverly you mock our unsullied constancy! You cannot understand the joy with which we savour even the tiniest of victories. Watching the Leafs beat the Habs is like watching a 30-pound rescue dog terrify a German Shepard watchdog…
I have two words for you people and your wannnabe perpetual losers – Chicago Cubs!
You want to talk about decades and decades of ripping the souls out of their fans and casting them into the gutters?
Since I don’t care about hockey, I just ask my husband which team is doing the best this year, then I jump on their bandwagon and pretend I’m a lifelong fan. I’m not sure if it bugs him (a huge, dedicated sports fan).
La la la la la I can’t hear you…
The only reason I wouldn’t do this is the same reason I wouldn’t do the Grand Canyon Skywalk - the cost. For $175 I can get a helicopter tour that lasts longer, or I can take entire family to an amusement park. I’d love to do it if the price was more reasonable, though.
I just looked up the cost of the Skywalk, which was over $80 three years ago. And you can’t even take a camera onto it!
