I guess i’ll have to admit it, CNN doesn’t just annoy me with their slogans… they honestly make me sick sometimes (not litterally). They seem to like feeding the fear into the public. While the rest of the world has “War with Iraq”… cnn has “Americas new war!”. And the idea that joe blow (and i know this isn’t everyone) who doesn’t shop around for news is likely to take what they see on CNN as truth is a little scary to be quite honest. I guess that’s why they’re not “The most balanced source for news” 
I tend to rely on NPR. I know they’re biased, but they still present darned good news, and I can look for more info on stories that are of particular interest to me.
I haven’t found any TV news I can watch for longer than 15 minutes without changing the channel in disgust.
Being Canadian… I’d turn to the CBC before I would CNN. That said, I did watch CNN when the Iraq war news was breaking… but the screen was so cluttered with stuff that I had to change the channel after about 15 minutes.

I would consider the BBC and the CBC as more trustworthy and less biased when compared to the CNN. Heck, I would even rank Telemundo above CNN.
I hear that the CNN-International feed is not as bad.
