Coin Question.

My father sent me a package today containing some jewelry and collectibles he wanted me to have. in it I found what appears to be a very old silver dollar. I went to some internet coin sites, but I could not make any sense of the price guides. Can someone tell what this coin is worth?

Coin description:
1890
silver dollar
liberty head on front, outstreached eagle on back.
it is in the condition of most coins I spend. It has no major dings or scratches. It doesnt feel very worn down and all writing is in great condition.

Thanks

Is this it?

yes…thank you

Your 1890 dollar in nice average condition is something coin dealers pay $7-9 for and resell for $10-13. In average uncirculated(new) condition), we(they) pay $10-14 and sell for $18-20.

If there is a “cc” mintmark above the <D and O> at 6:00 in the word dollar on the reverse, then you have something worth a bit more.

I’ll flip you for it.

Heads I win. Tails you lose.

These silver dollars were in circulation until the 1960’s, you could get all you wanted from a bank or in Las Vegas for a dollar each.
