Ok, we’ve all heard the big deal with Q33NY and how it translates into A plane, two pieces of paper (looks like two skyscrapers) and Skull and Crossbones and the Star of David.
Well I wasn’t satisfied with the idea that Q33 has no significance. At first people thought it was the flight #, but that wasn’t true so I decided to do a little digging of my own.
Islamicity.com is a major Islamic website, the link with the reference # Q33 seemed very interesting as the first sentence seems to accurately describe the wonderful state of capitalism in which we live.
This all seems rather coincidental, but I am not sure…
Please, people, YOU ARE SEEING PATTERNS WHERE NONE REALLY EXIST! It is human nature to try to see patterns in random information. It served us well when trying to discern a leopard in sun-dappled leaves. It serves us today when driving in fog or at night. But not every flicker of gold is a predator. Not every gray shadow is a pedestrian. And random letters in a word processor rarely point to an international conspiracy.
See now that’s funny… I don’t remember EVER saying anything about international conspiracy!
I was just making reference to a coincidence! I really havn’t drawn any firm conclusions on this, I was hoping to get some outside opinion… apparently all I am entitled to is criticism. Oh Well!

Why, who can imagine the significance of the hundreds of catalogued Q-numbers at this devilish Orientalist website?
Maximum, I read that over (twice) before I made this thread and it doesn’t say anything about Islam.
The Website article talks about bringing suffering to those who store up Gold and Silver and do not spend time worshiping Allah! The World Trade center is all about the accumulation of wealth. Destroying it… now there is something that Islamic Extremists might do to fulfil this sort of teaching.
I DO NOT think that this is actually a conspiracy, I do think however that it is an eerie coincidence.
Also I might point out that Wingdings was Copyright 1992, and I seriously doubt that the website was around then, so any direct link is just ridiculous.

But the definition of a “coincidence” is as follows.
So the fact that the Q33NY thingy (Which is where you got all this from) is a complete fabrication (IE: Something some ‘prankster’ made up), you’re looking for meaning in Q33 is therefore unfounded and quite nonsensical.

And Maximum your right, the Dopers are usually pretty bang on with this kind of thing, which is why I posted here in the first place. If I didn’t want other people insight I wouldn’t have posted anything, or added “any thoughts?” to my post.
At any rate, I still think it was an interesting set of events which occurred at my desk here at work, because all of this started when a piece of paper landed in my recycle bin with the Wingdings symbols. (I had to decode it myself) I went to excite and took the first link and got a Passage from the Quran about not building up riches when you should be worshiping Allah… frankly I could (at this point) care less if a coincidence/conspiracy exists but I was still a little shocked…
Don’t worry about it, and don’t take these things personally.
I think everyone understood what you were getting at, and in a way it is kinda freaky. But you were basing your finding on something that was false, and I’m sure that was why your claim wasn’t beening taken seriously.
Flogging this sort of information to stir emotions or to hint at some hidden agenda with out ‘hard facts’ will not be taken seriously by those that come here.
