Coldfire, I hope you didn't know this woman.

A lady from the Netherlands who moved to the bay area in California was despondent:

Poor thing! I hope she didn’t feel trapped here in the states and that she could move back to Europe if she wanted to. The bay area is pretty nice, after all.

Yeah, I read the story a few days ago, and learned today that she was Dutch, at least originally. Married to a German.

What a sad story. But I didn’t know her.

I mean, we may seem small on a map, but we still have 16 million inhabitants - which puts us in the Canada and Australia league, IIRC (23 million and 19 million, respectively?)

Well, if you Cloggers would learn to build a good dyke you would not need so many people to stick their fingers in it.

That and redirect all those crazy spaniards jousting your windmills.

osip

i think we (Canada) have about 30 million people… somwhere around there, a little more than that maybe. But 19 million for Australia is about right.

slightly off topic… at work we sell this globe that has a lot of good info, just point the pen on the country and you’ll learn lots of interesting facts. I think it says Canada has 29 million. If I remember, I’ll click some other countries. I wouldn’t mind having the globe, but it’s $100.
