sigh I will be far, far away from LA by then. Aah well… have a few for me, and I hope you enjoy the trip Coldy! I second woodstock’s suggestion though–try to make it to the Bay Area; it’s worth it, even if I’m not going to be there. 
Count me in. I missed the Great NoCal/SoCal fest (stupid school… grumble grumble…). 'Sides, I wouldn’t miss out on an opportunity to slap Cold’ems across the back.

You won’t actually hear the ocean at either one of these, though, FYI. But you’ll certainly be within walking distance of hearing it.
There’s also the Portofino Hotel & Yacht Club, which is on the water and appears to have rooms starting at $149.00/night.

I’m assuming your place is going to be the center of activity, so maybe I should just go with your recommendations.
Do you have any ideas where we’d be hanging out that Saturday night? If you think we’d be around the beach area, then maybe I would do the Portofino (web site says it’s close to the Pier) so I could stumble to bed. Or I could try to snag a suite if you were certain that we’d be hanging out around there so people could crash there too.
I guess I don’t need to worry abotu it right now, I’ve got some time to figure it out.

If people crash in your suite, you could save some cash, charge them for the couch space. Thems were the breaks at SLO.

Well…
Having had such a wonderful vacation visiting my darling Shayna and meeting all you wonderful SLO Dopers, and therefore being caught in a weak moment, (and having NOTHING to do with being threatened a painful and agonizing death if I don’t show up) I have booked a flight to LAX on Friday October 19th.
I found the best fare by visiting Orbitz. Sorry, I can’t post a link. I meant to ask Shayna to show me how while I was visiting, but I forgot. And chances are that even if she HAD shown me, I would have forgotten how. I am postingalink impaired, I fear. But lest you forget, I am cute, which apparently invites forgiveness. 
And I even got ScottiKitty’s permission, after I explained that ShaynaKitty requested her Aunt Cheri’s presence sooner rather than later. ScottiKitty is just as much of a sap as her ScottiMom.
So…I am in! I look forward to seeing you all again, and meeting those of you who weren’t priviledged to be at SLO. Demo and Psy? Better plan on being there so you can get your ScottiHugs fix!
Woo! For a girl who hasn’t gotten farther from home than Seattle for the past four years, I am starting to feel like a seasoned traveller. Because I am also going to visit Grace in February for our birthdays. Who knows what I am going to do next? [sub]kinda scary, huh?[/sub]
