Just wondering how many people are going to be there Friday night. Any thoughts on specific plans for Friday, or are we just gonna wing it?

My turn to bump with a second vote for wondering what’s up with Friday night. Other than the person I’m rooming with, I have exactly one hotel person’s cell #/last name. I know Nen and I are getting in late, but I’d hate to miss seeing y’all drunk when I’m just ready to get started.

I’m sure at least half of the group will have cell phones. It’s probably not a bad idea to get some of those numbers circulated, especially the people that have their phones attached to their hip and actually HEAR them ringing (yeah, yeah, I’m not used to having one).
I would highly doubt they have room numbers assigned at this point. The person at the front desk does NOT sound on top of things!
I know that some of the people coming to this are under 21, but I’m curious how many of those under 21ers will be with us on Friday night as well as Saturday night. Are Monster, SPOOFE, Mercutio, etc. coming for both nights or just the “big event” on Saturday night?
I’m asking because Alpine Village in Torrance (which is only about 5 miles up the road from the motel) is having an Oktoberfest, and they’ll take reservations for parties of up to 3,000 people, so 50-60 certainly won’t be an issue at all.
The problem is, they’ll allow minors in the restaurant, but the lady I spoke to said they’re pretty strict about not allowing anyone under 21 into the beer garden, and we certainly don’t want to exclude the younger people from the party.

psy and I will have a cellphone with us. E-Mail me or ask in chat for the #. If people want, they can send me their cell #'s and I can compile a directory and have it available for people attending DTF, and to sell to telemarketers.

Something that has worked well at conventions/ that I’ve been to has been to ask to set up a bulletin board in the lobby where you can leave your room number if you want. I’ll give the hotel a call and see if they wouldn’t mind this.
