I keep hearing the hotel is pretty close to the airport. I never did check which airport that’s referring to. I am so going to kick myself if I’m flying into the wrong one.

Three things I have learned about LA
LAX and Bradley are basically the same damn thing.
They are not allowing cars into the airports right now.
Opal does not live there.
LAX is about eight miles from the hotel.

How will be people be arranging rides, if there can be no picking up? Will they allow someone to even get to the passenger pick-up area?

This I do not know, babe, but it sounds like the answer is no. I heard this particular tidbit nary an hour ago from Anamorphic when I asked if he was picking up me and Nen or if we were cabbing it. Apparently it is currently part of the upgraded security, and may be lifted at any time. Or at no time. At this point, we’re planning on a cab, personally.

We’ll be there. Practical details are almost all sorted now. Mr Fran (Alex B) and I will arrive on Thursday night and take a cab to the motel where we shall most likely collapse in a jet-lagged state. In the morning we will be waiting at the hotel in the lobby, looking shifty and waiting to meet everyone as they arrive. We’re at the Ramada until Monday, and then we’ve got a place in Hollywood booked until Friday.
Looking forward to this BIG time and I can’t wait to meet you all.
Hey now. You’re forgetting that you’re getting me something. Though, come to think of it, you could break that CD-Rom in half and hold up the plane with it.
