College football penalty question

Kent State drives to the Akron 10, and gets first and goal.

Kent State’s QB gets sacked. 2nd and goal on the 19.

Kent State’s QB gets sacked again. 3rd and goal on the 30.

On 3rd down, Akron commits a pass interference penalty. Which is 15 yards and a new set of downs in college football.

Would the “to go” be reset back to 10, or remain “goal”?

First and 10 at the 15.

That’s your answer right there. A “new set of downs” includes resetting the yardage needed.

That’s how it would be in the NFL as well. If there’s a new set of downs, first down is 10 yards from the line of scrimmage, unless you’re within 10 yards of the end zone. It doesn’t matter where you were before.
