College Football Thread - BCS, Bowls, Conference Championship, Coaching Changes

I’m not disappointed at all in the Buckeye’s season. We lost our QB, top two recievers, and our top rusher from last year. This was our rebuilding year, and we were still in the national title game. The big disappointment was not winning last year.

It’s too soon to tell for next year though. We only lose two guys for sure, Barton the RT and Grant a LB. However, Laurinaitis, Jenkins, Boone, and Gholston all have a very good shot at going in the 1st round. Robiskie could also go, but I don’t think he will. The only good thing to take out of tonight is that after two embarassments in the title game, those guys might want to come back and win one. Even if we lose some guys to the NFL, we have talent to step up. This Heyward guy is going to be a stud.

I don’t really think Boeckman is the QB we need to win. He has an almost complete inability to throw the deep ball, which killed us tonight. LSU was just pressing our receivers, and they were getting enough separation where a good QB could put it in there. We got this Henton kid that is more of a run/pass threat, but we didn’t see very much of him this year. He was just a freshman though, so hopefully he can step up next year.

Are you talking about football? Because the Bobcats didn’t even win their conference.

I’m just hoping that the next time an SEC team makes the NCG that there’s a team other than Ohio State facing them. OSU is turning into the Buffalo Bills of college football.

FWIW, in my bowl/conference scorecard, LSU’s win locked up the title for the SEC (if they’d lost, the Big 12 would’ve won). The final rankings were SEC, followed by: Big 12, Pac-10, Mountain West, Big East, C-USA, Big Ten, Sun Belt, WAC, ACC and MAC.
