If this had been a random female student and a random male instructor and the teacher had goosed the student, would getting him fired seem acceptable even though the incident happened somewhere outside of school? Should an adult who commits battery against a minor really be in the teaching profession?

The man identified in the OP is a student at Fort Lewis College, where the woman who assaulted him also works. It’s true he is also named Mark O’Donnell, but he’s not a “Jr.” and he attends a different college.
